I feel the same way.
Wii fanboys exist, they just don't have to say anything about the pro's of their console because it's winning.
It's like in the PS2-Xbox-Gamecube era, PS2 fanboys were the least proactive because they were winning, doesn't mean they don't exist.

Yes it is indeed a different style 
I still don't see the usual PS3 Fanboys counter-attacking... afraid of facing the Wii legion ? The 360 is an easier target apparently ...

There is little doubt that there are less core offerings of high quality available on the Wii than on either of the HD consoles. Thats not to say that the Wii fails when it comes to hardcore gamers. I am one and I own one.
But certainly there is a reasonable argument behind the claim that from a gamer's perspective, Nintendo swung the ball too far into the casual court.

You don't hear Wii fanboyism cause they are 10 million units ahead of second place. PlayStation fanboys were pretty quiet when they were 100 million units ahead too :).
To me, there seems to be equal fanboyism coming from each side - not counting Nintendo fanboys.

So fanboyism is the consequence of feeling inferior or neglected ? It is oppositely proportional to the volume of your community and its weight then ?

It depends on the person. My ps3 fanboyism is at a point where I'm not sure where it's going. My ps3 just broke and it feels like I lost a finger. I get bored as hell at home and have to resort to browsing random websites.
I was #3 in the SC4 special vs rankings and now I'm surely going to lose my place. My disc is stuck in the system so I can't even play the game on my roommates ps3 when I return to school this weekend. Sorry for the rant...I'm just depressed lol.
