I think something we're forgetting is that even if the game doesn't sell well, it's still an incredibly marketable game (just look at all the "Aww cool" reactions on this hardcore gamer site). It's something that Sony could set up at a Toys R Us and kids and the parents with them would see a very cool very family friendly game for the PS3. It may not cause those parents to buy the game immediately, but it sticks in consumers minds and sends the message to consumers that the PS3 is all things for all people.

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
