Forums - Sony Discussion - *New BioShock PS3; IGN claims looks considerably better than 360's!

With the new trailer of BS just released for the PS3, IGN is claiming that the PS3's version does look better. They claim that all in-game textures and the water textures as well look much better. "It's quite obvious that 2K is taking full advantage of the Blu-ray disc to pack in cleaner high resolution textures for every facet of the game".

IGN also goes on to praise the new *Survivor Mode Difficulty* as well, saying "every bullet counts". Gonna be real hard I think.

I had a very strong feeling that 2K would deliver on this one. They have got quality teams working on it, not rushing and using the PS3's strengths to pull more into the experience. With the current tools been developed for the PS3 and the communication and support from SONY and 1st party's, IMHO 3rd party games are going to go beyond that of the 360's.

Will u be picking up Bioshock for the PS3 now with this great news?

Still not enough to warrant a full price tag this far after it has been released. I might just ask for this as a Christmas gift or something.

Does that mean it's going sell more copies, since that's the real measure of success.

Not at all, an extra difficulty setting and better water textures doesn't make me want to pay $60 for this again.

Also stop calling it BS2....it is Bioshock!

No I have the game for PC anyway. Also why would I re buy the game because it has better graphics(I'm not too sure about better graphics than the PC version) and an extra difficulty setting.

This title needs to be budget priced, or it won't sell that well...

They've sweetened the pot, but not enough for a full price tag.

Make it 39.99 and it'll do wonders.

Not re-buying

Even a $40 price tag wouldn't justify the price for people that already have the game but that would be an incredibly good deal for the people that haven't played the game yet.

This is great news for Gears of War 3. Same engine, and thus I expect the PS3 version to look outstanding. I can't wait for 2010 :)
