(due to it being so easy to aim).

Ya Wii version is way easier, just wait till u get to the merchant's mini games.

As DKII said... no you can't.
It's not meant to be an FPS/TPS.
I'm doing better now. I completed 1-2 and 1-3 with 90 percent.
Well, there was a bug in the early versions that had an aiming glitch when used on big screens (+37). The corners were out of reach, you might aim there but the shots didn't go there. You had to stay further from the screen.
I remember reading it somewhere.
If that is not the case, I think it might be that you need some practice.
