I haven't been checking the rankings... last I checked Hamilton had just regained top points from Massa, although Kubica had top spot for a bit after Canada.

17 points behind with just two races to go (10 points max available per race) and somehow he managed to win by one point. Definitely didn't deserve it and it cost me a LOT of money
