Hey it's better off then when they cut appart FF4 because they thought it was too hard for the west.

Then they made it even easier and reported it over to japan where it sold great.

Go figure.

I think that's been a trend... it's more they cut back on the games diffculty for Japan.  Except in Fire Emblem... for some reason.

Doesn't the story go that nintendo didn't release the real Mario 2 in the US because they felt it was too difficult for USians.

That's the past however. NES/SNES era. Come PS1 era the trend reversed and when different the Japanese versions tended to be the easier.

It might of been late SNES era as i believe they say that FF6 US was harder then the Japanese version. (by they i mean... Twesterm if i remember right.)
