Actually there were significant bumps for many of those.  MK launched in NA the same week as GTA and had a HUGE bump for example, even bigger than the HD consoles which got the "Game of the Generation" as so many smug fanboys were preaching at release.  As to why some of those didn't have bumps well unfortunately it's hard for Wii owners to go out and rush to buy a console in response to a AAA title when there aren't enough consoles available.

Thankfully the PS3 has TEH CELL!1! which allows it to have appropriate sales bumps for big games!

Because unlike the other consoles, the Wii appeals to casual gamers, as well as Nintendo loyalists.

Also, most of its great games are the best of this generation, and are quite exclusive to the console, forever.

Not to mention its great price point.

...and motion controls.

Did I mention it has the highest rated Mario game ever?

I'm sure VC sold a few units, too.

Also, the Wii's poor library myth is greatly exxagerated.

Oh yeah, and a lot of Wii owners think the Wii is the best console this gen, due to the fact that it actually improved on more fronts than graphics and online gaming, which are relatively unimportant to many people.

It also launched with a game called Wii Sports, which is the defining game of this generation.

Word of mouth is also fantastic for the Wii.

Also, the Wii is a public gaming console, not only for single people to set in a room and play alone.

 

The real question is how could anyone who knows anything about marketing not expect Nintendo to blow the pants off all the traditional competition, with its new univerally appealing console, that took the world by storm.

Maybe your hatred of the Wii has blinded you to all but the fact that the Wii doesn't appeal to you.

However, for some reason, the 360 doesn't appeal to you either does it, even though it is clearly the superior console on all fronts except reliability.

It seems that all your talk is aimed at furthering the PS3 agenda. I know you were warned not to follow Wii posts around and troll them. So, I suggest you take that warning seriously.


Who said I hated the wii.The only thing I hate are wii fanboys.I just stated my honest opinion about the wii,that's all.Also,the 360 does appeal to me,but am I going to buy two virtually identical systems because it does? No.I have a PC for the games on that system.

Oh my... another week, more amazing numbers for Nintendo. Although I'm interested to see what sales will be like after July 5th, since "80 gig" seems to be the newest buzzword here at VGC.

Anywho, I just bought Sonic Rush Adventure, so I'll be enjoying that for the time being. Smeags out! *swims away*

Haha, so I blatantly threw that out there to see if you would actually reply to my post or ignore it and just respond to that and you actually bit. 

Just a bit of advice:  If you want to play the "victim" card and complain about being ganged up on, try to at least defend your position better.  Collapsing right away any time people respond to you with actual well thought out posts and just yelling out "BIAS" is so lazy....
