I know I shouldn't say this really, but I didn't even want an Xbox360 until I started lurking here. I didn't even like the machines because I had my PS3 and my PC/Wii and I was happy.

It wasn't until I saw some of the B$ that was coming out of certain PS3 fanboys mouths, especially when they referrenced my beloved PC but in general also. I decided to support the Xbox360. I didn't actually buy one until earlier this year - about March I think.

I was more a PC fanboy by heart and an Xbox360 fanboy for show, it was actually the people whom I associated with the PS3 that devalued it in my mind. This attitude doesn't win any friends and it only annoys people.

I think it is pointless to debate about this. The difference is blu ray on which you can get 50 GB of data, so higher quality graphics & sound without the need for compression and loss of quality.

R&C is HD, has huge environments, tons of objects on screen, no mid level loading.  I have only noticed a few slowdowns (and they never dip down very low) in my four playthroughs.  For the most part it is locked at 60 FPS.

 

I know my fair share about computer graphics, but not enough to compare such different games. The Uncharted vs NG2 comparison is much more relevant, and NG2 can perfectly hold its own against it (even if the environments aren't as big) while running at double the framerate.

 Technicly speaking with some reviewers saying so, in the end it really didn't matter much since the game was still very playable and very enjoyable.  Hopefully, both of you dropped the topic.

Also with the recent release of GEARS 2 video, it seems the only graphicle inhancement was more enemies on screen and better lighting than gears of war, which indicates that gears 2 has peaked the 360 interms of performence hence why we see no visual improvement from gears 1 to gears 2.

On the other hand, Uncharted which is techinically more impressive than GEARS 1, is inferior to a couple of games for consoles. These games are " MGS4, and KILLZONE 2". Killzone 2 shows everything that seemed to be impossible on the PS3 hardware and surpasses expectations, those that doubt it are blind to see the truth.

I'm still waiting for a 60 fps PS3 game which looks better than this:

I'm not even sure Uncharted really looks much better than Ninja Gaiden 2, and Uncharted is 30 fps... I never played Uncharted, but from the screenshots I can sure see it's a pretty well-done game, but technically... nothing above what the 360 has proven IMO.

 

You have never played the game therefore you can have no opinion on its visuals, not to mention those that have played the game(Reviewers) credit is as the best looking game on consoles.

Also MGS4 as well as Ratchet and clank of those games that surpass NINJA GAIDEN 2 visually and both run at 60fps.

 

 

 

 

Oh please, how idiotic can you get? He isnt allowed to comment because he has not played Unchartered but you are free to criticise the entire 360 console on the basis of a game that YOU yourself have not played yet(Gears 2)? MGS is pretty inconsistent with its framerate, is not even HD and textures are atrocious. Meanwhile I played Killzone 2 and it is not all you crack it up to be.

 

As for Ratchet and Clank, it looks like a PS2 game in HD and there too the framerate has more hiccups then a drunk hobo with a frog in his throat.
