if they can get FF13 done and released for XMAS this year, am sensing huge hardware and software numbers for SONY's 7th Gen console.

- Versus is on hold until FFXIII is done, because the entire Versus team is helping finish FFXIII at the moment. It is number one priority.
So, FFXIII is on January 13th or January 31st.
Or February? Or March? =))
- It will use the same format as previous S-E events, with closed theatre as well as playable booths outside.
FFXII first playable was half a year before a release. =) And August is 5 months before the end of 2008, but still no playable version.. =)

December(28th)? But public demo(maybe) in October and just 2 months for release.. =)
I wonder, when there will be a release date? Maybe on E3`08? or on DKS? TGS`08?
So many questions.. =))

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.

It's possible that Versus XIII just gets scrapped if FFXIII doesn't perform to S-E's expectations. I am not entirely amused by this info at all. How big is FFXIII going to be if you need 2 production teams to do it?

hmmm, you are kidding right. Story and concept arts are already done, And we all know that FF games can`t sell on Sony console.
