Forums - Website Topics - Front page completely mangled in Linux

The font size is too big, and everything goes completely out of whack. I can decrease the font size but then it gets difficult to read. I would upload a screenshot but unfortunately the photo album feature of VGChartz also seems to be completely broken (it keeps saying it only accepts jpg/png/gif files, I've tried both a jpg and png. I'm not signing up for a photobucket just for one picture) You can approximate what I see by increasing the text size in your browser, if it supports (hold control and scroll up, if you're using firefox 3, you have to go view->zoom->soom text only first)

anyone else on linux having this issue? I'm running ubuntu 8.04 pretty much standard build.

The photo album says it only accepts jpeg and png and stuff even when you do add an image of that format.

However, the pics do get uploaded, even if you get a warning. Check out your photo album, the screenshots are there.

I used to have this problem in Ubuntu Hardy until I upgraded to Firefox 3. That solved the problem.

Edit: Are you running the release version of FF3 or the beta?

The front page looks fine for me. I kinda like the new left control panel look.  I'm using Seamonkey 1.1.9 (essentially the same as firefox 2).

I run x86_64 Gentoo.

If you zoom in on the site with a small text font it might be better.

I've always had that problem with ubuntu. THe overall sales in the middle are all messed up. It has nothing to do with text size.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I'm also on Ubuntu 8.04 and I'm on Opera, but I do not have that issue. Pretty sure I have seen it before when I was using FF and/or Opera beta versions, but not for a long while.

Ubuntu 8.04 Firefox/Opera, and I'm ok...

You'll break most websites if you increase the text size too much...

But I didn't zoom the text in, this is using the default text zoom. I have to make the text smaller than normal to unmangle the front page. The problem I see is that the default Ubuntu font is slightly larger than the default Windows font and it changes everything.

I am running firefox 3, RC1 I believe.

and yes, turns out the pictures were in my photo album, thanks Chrizum

those who are using 8.04 and it's working fine, do you have the ms truetype fonts installed?
