I believe you will find this an interesting statistic: Halo 3 sold 1.8 million on its first day. Halo 3 sold 3 million copies in its first week.

So if MGS 4 equals Halo 3's fist day and  first week sales. That would be incredible.

But it won't. The news on 1st page of VGC says 1.3 mill.

1.3 / 1.8  (MGS4/Halo3) = 72%.

Halo 3 sales so far 8 million. 72% of 8 = 5.75 mill, but MGS4 is even more hardcore and frontloaded than Halo 3 ---> shave off 1 mill ---> 4.75 mill for MGS4 which was expected. Impressive, but expected.

MGS4 will make 6 million lifetime imo, especially if they keep shipping the bundle.

lol, thank you. Yeah, u have a good point. I still believe MGS4 is more hardcore and frontloaded, but it being bundled should add a good 1 million eventually. Halo 3 never had a bundle.

It should sell a million copies it's first week, that's for sure. Not sure if it'll do 1 million on the first day. I'm sure we'll have the info come Monday morning. A lot of people were waiting for this game, but MGS4 is not for everyone. People who are into sports and FPS, aren't going to be running out and getting MGS4. I'll be shocked if it does 3 million in a week like this guy is predicting. GTA IV did that.
