Ill start off I guess

We are already seeing breakneck sales for software and consoles (its not even Memorial Day yet). The holiday season is only going to magnify those figures. Games that are doing 20k a week will see double, triple in sales.

PS3 will double the 360 in sales. The Wii will double the PS3 in sales.

no offense, but last year was better overall.

Yes, this year PS3 will do ALOT better than it did last year. but look at last year near the end.

Xbox: Halo 4, CoD4, AC, Rockband, Mass Effect, BioShock.
PS3: CoD4, AC, Uncharted.
Wii: SMG.

Frankly, last year was a great year software wise for 360. Let's see how they will do this year without that huge of a lineup of games.

Nintendogs will average over 150k per week during the holiday timespan (its doing over 60 now and has been out forever)

I agree that Christmas 2007 was a banner year and outside the early heavy hitters of 2008, I expect Christmas 2008 to be dominated by the games you listed above.

 taking out games that isn't coming out near the end of this year (or even second half of the year) and you get a considerably weaker lineup.

 

What will it do? Well, just have to wait and find out. ;)

ninja gaiden: 6 months before christmas
GTA4: 9 months before
banjo 3: is this confirmed for 2008?
too human: an 8 in the reviews at most
COD5: not been made by infinity ward

Halo 3: biggest xbox game
bioshock: 9.5 game
mass effect: 9.5 game
COD4: made by infinity ward, 9.5 scores

I think Guitar Hero 4 is coming out this holiday too right? Not too mention some really good looking JRPGs - Tales and Infinite. Add in Fallout 3 and Star Wars. PS3 owners have a much better holiday line-up compared to last year.
