Hard to trust a company with making a Open World AAA game who don't have the technical capability to port a game from PS4/PC>Xbox One.

Lmao.

It's even stranger that Kamiya next IP is confirmed for Xbox One, I honestly think they're just trying to fish for money, aka they want Microsoft to give them some money to put W101 on Gamepass, I wouldn't be surprised if it was announced to launch via Gamepass.

Yeah that was my thoughts as soon as I saw the article about the Xbox Port removed from stretch goal.

Ugh welp. I'm away for a couple weeks and only have my laptop with me to write daily news and update weekly hardware figures. I already did the Gap Charts for when I'm away. Ah well.

Edit: I see those figures are shipped and not sold through.

Interestingly the slides posted after the conference had VGC as their source taking the PS4 + X1 sales to get the 150m+ tally .

Which I presume even though they have all the data internally on sales they sourced VGC so they are not giving away the exact figures revealing other companies sales data so the X1 could be undertracked as Zhuge says Xbox One sales are over 50m.

Ori and the Will of the Wisp has had a fair chunk of time in the oven.. game is timed nicely. Cannot wait to play this.

I would still love the see Scalebound be revived for the Series X, even with all that drama behind its cancellation MS was still interested in acquiring Platinum.

Not sure about that rumour still but its been obvious for a while now that both parties share the blame, Microsoft at that time had a rumoured crappy budget which didn't help and I think Platinum simply took on more than they could handle.

Scalebound's concept was great but the execution was poor, every time they showed new gameplay it looked a bit dull, especially the multiplayer boss fight, then they spoke about all this awesome stuff in the game like these huge cities but never shown them.

There was also the rumour that the game ran like crap on Xbox One which they were struggling to fix. I think if they ever bring it back they should scale back on the concept, make it a linear action-adventure with a linear story, focus mostly on making the gameplay great, forget trying to make it into some huge JRPG and get rid of the multiplayer.

It doesn’t need to be scaled back. Now with XSEX expansive worlds are easier to make. Capcom could be a great candidate to take the helm of Scalebound and give it a direction.

Hello New Zealand! I've got my laptop to get work done, like the daily news stuff for the site. I've got the next couple weeks of the monthly Gap Charts done ahead of time. I'm from New York, so Florida isn't too far away. Though, I did spend 6 months in England from August to early February, and am going back there at the end of April.

I will probably move to America at the end of the month as PSO2 is still only officially for NA for some strange reason lol

Man I forgot how fucking good Ori is. Been gettting back into it preparing for Wisps and man it’s just fucking spectacular. My only complaint is the combat kind of sucks. I’m loving opening up new areas with new platforming puzzles to solve but dreading fighting enemies. Hopefully the sequel fixes that.

For all it’s failures I think Xbone had some amazing platformers between the two Ori games, ReCore, Cuphead, and Crackdown 3. Not to mention the third party stuff.

So the rumours have flipped to a game being announced this week...I'd imagine a smaller title but XGS are on a roll, Lol.

Maybe they'll announce a game alongside Lockheart like they did with Series X?

I wonder if MS will do their GDC streams this weekend and show FM8 as part of it and revealing a new game that way, I was thinking the Lockhart reveal would come in one of the streams about scalability across the consoles maybe we get both.

"Insider" strategy for "leaking" stuff. Scattershot tease a bunch of shit that could possibly happen in a vague future window. Wait for these "leaks" to be disseminated and met with reactions from a few people who actually know stuff. Adjust information accordingly.

How is Ryu not banned from constantly posting all their shit yet? lol
