I don't know, Holiday 2021 could be possible for Fable. Don't forget that Playground started working on that RPG in 2017, even before MS bought them. If they were working on the Fable game as a 2nd party game before MS bought them and made them 1st party, it would have 4 years of development as a Holiday 2021 title. Though they are still small and haven't expanded to full AAA size yet, same as The Initiative, both studios do have most of the key leadership and senior positions filled now, and it is rumored that MS has some of their other 1st party studios assisting them with the grunt work while they look for grunts of their own to fill the final positions. Fable then could have 4 years of development as a Holiday 2021 game, about 3 of which with either a full AAA team, or the equivalent of a full AAA team working on the game.

If Fable isn't their big Holiday 2021 AAA, I would assume it will either be Obsidian's rumored Skyrim like Pillars game (which has supposedly been in development since 2018 with over 100 devs), or a 2nd party developed AAA, such as the long rumored story driven, 3rd person action- adventure stealth Perfect Dark reboot developed as a collab between Coalition and a 2nd party AAA studio.

Last update from Morgoth IIRC was that 'Perfect Dark' is still in the concept phase and in a more dangerous place than it was a few months ago, aka it's at risk of not being greenlit, that is of course if it's even Perfect Dark that The Coalition is working on, it sure sounds like it though.

Big fail on their part if that game wasn't greenlit years ago. Should have listened to Kenn Lobb and worked to make that game ready as a 2020 launch title to take advantage of when the first game was set.

It's also possible that the Coaltion game is not Perfect Dark, it could be a reboot of Shangheist for all we know, from back when they were Black Tusk. There was another insider last May who said that a 3rd person Perfect Dark reboot had already been in development at a 2nd party studio for awhile, with Rare assisting with development, in a similar situation to Battletoads. That insider said that it may get announced at E3 2019, which it wasn't, but he did say may, not definitely, MS could have delayed the announce until E3 2020 because they decided to make it a next-gen/cross-gen game.

Question: When I do bets for Xbox Game Studios IP score predictions, should I use Metacritic (Uses the platform with the most scores, Xbox) or Opencritic (Combines Xbox & PC scores).

They bring up some good points. XB1 already struggles on many current gen games, with framerate issues and sub 900p resolutions becoming more and more common on base Xbox One in recent years. How can a console that is struggling with current gen games possibly run next-gen games without holding back next-gen development? They also highlight just how huge the gap in CPU and storage performance is between base XB1 and XSX, we're talking a 4-6x CPU improvement and a 40x storage bandwidth improvement, there is just no way that MS can properly take advantage of the improved CPU and SSD on Xbox Series if they are making use of scalability instead of porting.

On the flipside though, they mention the possibility of this cross-gen philosophy going both ways, with some last gen titles possibly receiving next-gen enhancements through backwards compatibility, like we saw with the Xbox One X enhanced BC titles. Would love to see MS do that.

It’s Amazing to me that the narrative pushed by some that MS are calling Sony anti-consumer by announcing that they will be at E3 is ridiculous, same thing with the announcement of 2 more years of XB1 support. MS providing more ways for people to play their platform is not a bad thing.

Your Gamertag section is looking barren so you can add me, GT: Versus Evil

"Wheel me out to the curb for garbage day"

On topic of finishing games.. I like to finish games I start and unlock as many achievements as possible. I prefer not to play too many single-player games at a time.

I only drop games that are really awful or unenjoyable. Doesn't happen often though.

Took me 106h to finish main story of Kingdom Come and now I'm playing rest of expansions :P

106 hours... Ok, you obviously really enjoy the game.

What are some things about the game that impress you the most? I've been on the edge, teetering to play the game but never have. Push me over? 🤣
