May is looking hype. I dont expect an announcement anytime soon though. The 4chan leaker said the details for the events haven't been finalized. I expect the May event to be announced a day or two before like the latest inside Xbox and the June event to be announced at the end of the May event.

I wonder if Lockheart price will be revealed with the console...

An attempt to force Sony's hand?

Could be a good strategy for them to reveal Lockhart price first then the Series X a month later. But I doubt that Sony will budge.

I don't think Lockheart would be particularly useful in that regard. In revealing it's price, all you do is show Sony what your absolute floor is to start the gen price wise. What good does that do?

Either Sony doesn't give a shit, because it both views it's PS5 to be playing in a bigger league than some entry system, and believes their brand power puts them above needing to worry about having the most affordable next gen console on the market.

or

Sony does believe being the most affordable, or at least reasonably close is important to prevent Xbox from gaining back a larger market share, and decide they're willing to take a bigger loss than they had planned on PS5 by pricing it down accordingly...which then in turn, means MS has to either price the Series X down more than they would really like to do, or risk having their price tag on that system looking completely absurd by comparison.

Whether they do or not it’s not something Sony has planned for, with them only having one Sku (that we know of) that is competing with the Series X. Sony gonna reveal sometime after MS reveals prices for both consoles Id say.

What would be funny is if MS deliberately doesn’t reveal price and Sony and Ms playing one big game of chicken until launch. Lol I imagine it’s November and both haven’t revealed the price because each is waiting for the other to go first ;)

I don't think going first with announcing a price is as important this gen as previous ones and a potential cut would be seen as positive these days but I think if MS go for what is seeming like a fairly stand $499 price point with the intention of eating $50 loss per console Sony will be happy to go $499 and eat $40 loss per console. (my BoM's are purely made up)

If for some reason Sony wanted to go and undercut Xbox to $450 and loose $90 per console MS can get their PR spin guys to come out with a statement like " We cutting our price to $450 because Sony have done so and we will eat the extra $50 costs ourselves because we are the good guys so come buy our console and Gamepass sub to offset it" but with the proper PR on the statement it could offer free marketing and exposure and jump on the hype for the PS5 price reveal if MS have it waiting ready to drop a few minutes afterwards in case scenario unfolds. Just look at the PS5 controller reveal it was trending Xbox controller through the reveal window giving out free exposure to the Xbox brand.

It seems the patch only broke Ori and the Will of the Wisps further. Now on X1X performance is mostly poor with serious framedips. And every now and then it starts running 30fps and only hard reset seems to fix it back to 60fps.

Not good.

Perhaps you are having a bad case but overall the patch is an improvement

Obsidian hired The Outer Wilds writer and Josh Sawyer (Creator of Pillars) is the only writer on his project which points to it being something small, looks like Obsidian is at 4 teams.

It’s a bold strategy but I think it’s the right way to go. If you can’t (yet) compete in more AAA games, at least combat and destroy the stigma that Xbox has numerically lacking exclusives every year. More games and new IPs means more risks and more potential for hits that can be expanded in sequels with higher budgets.

Plus anything from Obsidian, especially an RPG, is gold.

This studio is too incredibly stacked to not have more than 2 projects going on at the same time, I’m pretty sure that even Feargus wants to do his own project somewhere down the line too.
