Just finished the first act of Middle-earth Shadow of War.
What an improvement over the first game so far. Mission design has improved immensely. Game world is far far bigger and far more diverse. Graphics look good (not that impressive but like a proper next gen title). There are some much needed improvements (better climbing, auto pick up arrows etc.).
How this game is barely an 80 on Metacritic and 4 points lower than Shadow of Mordor is beyond me. (Maybe because of the microtransaction stuff that has since been removed?)

Sammy Holding wouldn’t sell SEGA to Microsoft. They probably just starting to reap the profits of SEGA.

KI next gen
Banjo created and developed in house at Rare
And a cinematic action adventure Crimson Skies

We have confirmation now that Microsoft owns the Tell Me Why IP.

Ok, 🥱!

I'm finding it difficult to get very excited about Tell Me Why. Life is Strange 2 was so terrible that I couldn't even be asked to play the last two episodes. Almost every single minute of it felt like a complete chore. Kinda seems like they just got lucky with the first one.

Just had a thought. You know what would be BIG to get on Game Pass? GTA6 on launch day.

Pretty much no way that would ever happen. You'd have to pay 2K such an absurd amount of money to even consider that....totally unrealistic.

Looks like a majority of the money made from GTA5 is from GTA Online purchases. Might not be as crazy as you'd think. Still quite a lot.

This is why Microsoft acquired so many studios in part I think, paying publishers for Gamepass releases isn't sustainable, I'd expect them to scale back on large publisher Gamepass releases in the future when their studios start releasing frequently.

Even the late releases probably still cost dozens of millions for certain larger publishers.

We need more studios! 20IN20!

The main reason it's likely we'll see less big third party games on GP in the future, is honestly because the big third party publishers are going to have their own services that they want customers to use. You already see pretty much no EA or Ubisoft games on there. That's not by accident.

Did Ubisoft make an EA Access like service?

Not quite yet, at least not that I'm aware of, but I do remember reading about them wanting to go that route. Only a matter of time.

Edit: I stand corrected. UPlay+ already exists on PC.

I would be more likely to subscribe to that than to EA Access simply because I play more Ubi games. I haven't subbed to EA Access for years, the value is just not good. They would need to put their games on there day one to make it worthwhile, not 6-9 months after release. Gamepass value utterly destroys it.

UPlay+ exists on PC for like $15 bucks a month atm. No doubt we'll see it on consoles soon enough.

The little brother was awful and i hated him but i actually liked the ending so it left me with a good last impression.

I also loved LiS 1 and Vampyr so i'm looking forward to Tell me Why.
