There are a lot of movies that he's done I actually enjoy. Some of my favorite comedies ever are ones he starred in: Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Mr. Deeds, The Longest Yard, Click, Grown Ups.

Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2 are up there with the worst comedies that I have ever seen.
Explain to me what you like about Grown Ups. I cannot fathom how any human being can find either of those abominations enjoyable.

Just stupid, fun comedy that the family can enjoy. My family certainly did. Nothing more to it.

Why did you see Grown Ups 2 if you hated the first one so much? I'm legitimately curious, not trying to be a butt munch.

My brother was being a dick and insisted that it was a return to form for Adam Sandler. I caved in and watched it. He laughed at the torment that he put me through and admitted that it is a terrible movie XD

To play devil's advocate, being well aware of the more universal sins, coupled with my own iffy personal take on his output, I generally loved his comedy albums. As for movies: I was a fan of Billy Madison. I used it twice here on VCG to mock Xbox. First when the XBO sold 69 units in Japan, and again when Sea Of Thieves hit 69 on MC.

I liked Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer too, but haven't re-watched any of those 3 films in in over 2 decades. I do still spin his albums from time to time though.

I think he's good overall.
