Forums - Sports Discussion - The NFL Thread 2019: The Kansas City Chiefs Win Super Bowl LIV

Who do you believe will have a stronger defense in 2020?

Patriots 2 66.67%

Steelers 1 33.33%

Total:3

I am going to enjoy this super bowl, regardless who wins now.

As a midwesterner, many people in my family were Chiefs and Packers fans. As a 49ers fan, obvious. And the Titans are an exciting change of pace from the usual AFC teams. Too bad the Steelers couldn't make it, I would have enjoyed 49ers vs Steelers the most.

As someone who can't stand the Seahawks and wanted the Packers to win... How in God's name is that a 1st down? He's clearly short by half a yard AT LEAST.
The Seahawks got robbed there.

You are probably refering to the view from an angle above that showed the yellow line for the first down. The thing is that the sideline view showed the actual first down marker and it was closer to midfield than the yellow line in the other camera angle suggested. The sideline view made it pretty much a "call stands" situation because it provided no definitive evidence that the call on the field was wrong. The same would have held true if the refs had called no first down on the field, then that call would have stood all the same.

I did see the sideline view with the actual marker after posting my original comment. That makes sense.

Guess, that's all there is to it.

On to next week.

Here's hoping for a KC TEN Superbowl. They are so fun to watch! I haven't enjoyed following an NFL season this much since the 2007-2008 season.

Seattle should have won that game but I guess they where too beat up overall to get the win. There is no way the Packers can beat the 49er but its going to be somewhat closer then their match up during the regular season. The Titans have a slight chance against the Chiefs since they barely beat them during their regular season match up but that game was in Tennessee. So they have to play a whole lot better then that next week and Derrick Henry probably needs to rush for over 200 yards for them to win.

Yes, of all the Superbowl permutations, that one would definitely be the most unbelievable.

Well, I mean it is impossible...

Wasn't sure you did... Personally I would say 49ers vs Packers in the Super Bowl is the most unbelievable.

I hope it's Packers vs Bears, two timeless franchises yet they've never met in a Super Bowl

Well, you'll be pleased to hear that those two teams are, in fact, guaranteed to play.
