It’s a bit complicated for a foreign company to buy out a Japanese company from what I understand. It would be great if they bought mystwalker... I just don’t see it happening. I would love somebody to buy sega though. They seem to be incredibly mismanaged... they have been sitting on a gold mine of IP’s and doing nothing about it...

Zenimax an american company owns a japanese company called Tango gameworks they make evil within series though :(

zenimax has an asian division in Tokyo, for about 11 years now. that would have helped since Tango technically belongs to that part of zenimax.

Konami

But then no more Belmonts in Smash. -_-

Some days I just blow up.

They've got history with Koei Tecmo, so I'd say them.

If they want to have any sway at all in Japan it would have to be a major developer. I think Capcom would be the most impactful and they are currently sitting on some hot properties.

I don't think things have come to that.

Generally speaking, companies don't buy other companies that are poorly managed.  They might buy some IP from Sega though.

I think Nintendo would make the most sense, except that I doubt their corporate cultures are compatible.

The Pokemon Company
