Just added Week 32 numbers. The Switch was just ahead of last year's numbers by a few hundred units.

It's already amazing that the Switch is in front considering the new hardware incoming and last years July/early August were more hit-laden than this year.

When the new base model and the Lite are out, they will leave last year's sales in the dust

Just posted Week 33 numbers. Bit of back and forth between the PS4 and Switch in the weekly sales department.
Otherwise, the PS4 continues to trend downwards, the Xbox One as well. The Switch is holding pretty well amidst the impending release of both the new Switch model and the Switch Lite.

Just posted Week 34 numbers.
It's the week after Obon in Japan, which mostly explains why both the PS4 and Switch are down this week, meanwhile the Xbox One is up because, I mean come on, how much lower could the Xbox One go in Japan? I mean why does Microsoft even bother?

Speaking of the Xbox One, it has now reached a YoY deficit of over 900k. Gears 5 might be able to offset its eventual drop to 1 million for a week or two, but that's all it'll do is delay the inevitable. As for the other two, the PS4 should be around the same next week. The Switch, on the other hand, should be WAY up according to the latest Famitsu numbers in Japan due to the release of the new Switch model.

Week 35 will be insanity for the switch and then whenever the lite releases will just be double that insanity

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

The next weeks will be very interesting with the new base model, Lite and the effect of the direct that together should push the Switch high above last year's sales.

In fact, I'm calling this week's numbers foul since the new base model was already available in the west and should have gotten some boost out of it. And not exactly a small one if we take Japan as reference point...

Just posted Week 35 numbers. This is the biggest win this year for the Switch over last year, spearheaded by Japan's big boost from the new model. Meanwhile, the Xbox One is closing in on being down over 1 million units and the PS4 is now down over 1.2 million units.

Thank you for the updates!

Okay, wtf is driving Switch sales so hard? I think it went up by 70,000 to 100,000 units from last week. Damn!

Astral Chain ofc! ;)

More seriously, the improved NSW released in Japan Week 35 and it had a massive launch.

I didn't realize the Lite came out in any market yet?
