If I had to make a prediction this early for 2019, I'd say:

NSW: 21-22M
PS4: 13-14M

So, the Switch wins by 8M, plus or minus a million.

Basically a reversal of 2017

I think Switch can sell about 25m in 2019, assuming they are able to manufacture and ship that much. Not sure how many the PS4 will sell though. I think Switch will be above PS4 by at least 10m though. So Switch by 10-15m.

That's ridiculous

More or less. I think it's reasonable to expect the Switch to be up a good amount YoY, what with Pokemon Gen VIII and the likelihood of a price cut and/or hardware revision. I also think the PS4 will be down a good amount. At this point I doubt Sony will issue any more permanent price cuts, and there's already clear evidence that the PS4 has passed its peak.

I voted under Switch by under 5 million, but I feel it will be much closer to 5 million units than 1 unit.

Alright who voted the PS4 will sell more? I wanna know how in the world they can still think that. But my estimates are switch by around 4-8mil, the range is so large because I have no idea how hard PS4 falls or what comes for the switch. Switch is 20mil+ for the year easy but PS4 might sell 15mil+ again so I have no idea.
By the way what was the number for the peak year of PS4? I think switch can beat that this year

20.2 million in 2017.

I also think the Switch can beat that number this year, especially if there's a hardware revision.

It will be a long battle, for me this year Switch and Ps4 will finish with the same sales, maybe one million more for Switch which will gain them during december as every Nintendo consoles.

I would love to get Sony and Nintendo FY predictions first, but currently I would pick Switch by 6m-9m.
