Will Switch Sell 2 Million This December in the US?

Yes 92 74.19%

No 32 25.81%

Total:124

Seems like it will be in that ballpark, could be a little less or a little more... so I'll just go with yes as I love it lol

Benji on Era

Super Saturday results: Switch >>>>>>>Xbox One>>>PS4
Switch is very likely to do 2+ million this month now
Biggest December for a piece of hardware this generation coming

Benji on Era:
"All Nintendo 1st party evergreens are performing phenomenal

Smash is stratospheric"

Just wooooow. Hope it's 2,5m+

I hope so. :D

I think it will be just a little bit shy of 2m. Probably in the 1.8-1.9m range.

I'll do you one better. Here's the Top 25 (home consoles only):

The Top 10 is dominated by the Wii, PS2, and PS1. I expanded the list to 25 to get some current-gen years in there. Between November siphoning off some holiday sales from December and the PS4 & XBO being relatively close competition (the closest we've seen since the 16-bit era) there haven't been any historically huge Decembers yet this generation. The Switch could change that, though. It ought to bust into the Top 10.

And for the hell of it, here's the Top 25 Novembers just to show how big that month has gotten in the past decade:

The Top 10 Novembers list is completely dominated by sales months from this decade, with only the Wii's extraordinarily huge performance in Nov. 2008 standing above them. The only other sales month in the Top 10 that was from 2010 was the PS2's Dec. 2002 performance. And the biggest November performance from before 2000 was the PS1's showing in Dec. 1998 way down in 19th place.

Just goes to show you how all the massive Black Friday deals that emerged early this decade have impacted the balance of holiday sales in the U.S.

Could you do one for best Nov+Dec combined?

+1, I'd love to see how that turns out

According to Benji the 2m+ are not likely because of cyber Monday being in November. Still could be a 1,5m+

I didnt saw he said that, this last he wrote: "I mean 2 million for sure isnt locked. Switch could hit a bit below that But if it misses it wont be by much that's for sure", and that's very different from what you wrote, and before that he wrote "Switch is very likely to do 2+ million this month now Biggest December for a piece of hardware this generation coming".

That's quite a different meaning and direction than the previous post

In any case, as mentioned before, I believe Switch will do something close to 2.4M this December

Can we make it a rule that if you quote an insider, you have to use the actual quote?

We have had users take Benji's statements and warp them into things he didn't say for god knows what reason.
