This will probably be the norm next gen for physical games.

And there will still be crap that needs to be downloaded

^ Blu-Ray XL will have 125GB discs.... so it might not be needed for most games, next gen.

Problem is they are just as expensive, if not more expensive, than the 64 and 32 gig Switch carts.  You see what happened there.  Expect more partial  download installs coming to Sony and MS now, or multi disk games.  In the end, it is whichever is cheaper.  It is the partial downloads.

well blu ray discs that support 100 gigabytes or more are still too expensive, and the price seem to remain high for quite sometime.

A great advertisement for going digital. This will surely push a certain percentage to download it now rather then physical.
