I didn't really think that it felt worse from a gameplay point  of view from the previous two, it's just that it doesn't do anything that sets it apart from them.  And then there is the very poor handling and marketing of the franchise

Yeah, they've stretched this idea on too long. Hopefully the series gets a rest until PS5/XB2 so they can start again and ditch the origin story

And get new voice actors

Maybe the price for the microsoft deal for time exclusivity make ps4 players dont care about the franchise.

I mean it sold 2:1 on PS4 so I'm not sure if that is accurate.

Let me reiterate that Rise came out on a Tuesday, while Shadow came out on a Friday. Five days of tracking versus Two. That's a disadvantage that can't be ignored.

Let's at least see how it's second week goes before we make prematurely make that judgement

Those 3 days would not have turned 19k into 36k.  Thats an unbelievable conclusion.  You are forcing yourself to be unreasonable.  Jim, its dead.

I know, but it wouldve turned it from 19k to 26-27, and overall the game would be like 50% plus higher rather than 25

lets not arrive at conclusions prematurely.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

The 2 vs 5 days is pointless anyway as most of the sales are day one or in the weekend anyway. Plus Xbox alone have like dropped to half sales even with bigger userbase. Game done bad sales no excuses, and I doubt the drop to second week will be 0, so even with 2 weeks the game on Xbox will have sold less than fw of the previous game and that will be 9 days versus 5 (reversed) so will we do any excuses for it?

I never daid it would be a zero drop. It will bea drop much less than ruse secon week, though.

And we have numbers from one region so far. We dont know how it did elsewhere. Lets wait for npd and numbers from other regions before claiming it failed.

and why only count the xbox version? The game has given given more revenue to square in its first week over rise. Thats what matters.

Personally, I'd love a Bluepoint remake of all 4 PS1 games. Stories and gameplay mainly remain unchanged, but with a nice new coat of paint.

Sure it can drop less than rise (not assured), but still Week 1+2 of Shadow will be smaller than Week 1 of Rise.

Because it's ludicrous to make a claim of it having 25% better opening when you go from having only the lower seller to biggest seller plus the lower one.

If you want to wait for NPD or WW what are you doing here? And you were quite not using this excuse on previous replies.

I liked the remake as well, platined all of them.

That's asking a lot lol, needs a lot more than a coat of paint. Yet some people have already been working on TR2

I remember a lot more from my play through of TR2 than from the 2 reboots. Would love to play it again.
