Forums - Sony Discussion - Guerrilla Games is expanding: moving to a new building, hoping to grow from 250 employees to 400 employees

The new building:

Currently re-construction is going on at the new building. Guerrilla Games' 250 employees and representatives from Sony visited the new building today (July 18th 2018). Currently Guerrilla Games employs about 250 people, with the new building they want to grow to at least 400 employees. Hermen Hulst also talks about some other recent developments at the studio, such as the fact that just in the last month Guerrilla hired 9 new developers. Guerrilla Games will aim to release 1 new game every 2-3 years, in that timeframe they want to release both new IPs and new games based on existing franchises.

That’s awesome. Can’t wait to see what they put out.

Horzon2 is basically confirmed to succeed and sell a boatload. They'll have to reimagine and expand the scope of any new Killzone game. Other than that, may be they can surprise us with new ips which all Sony studios seem to be surprisingly capable of.

We can only hope *prays*

Killzone just doesn't seem like an interesting project.

Nice. Growing to 1.5-2 teams again, it seems.

Resplendent and excellent to see them investing towards their selves. Shows confidence and gives me hope that we will see more and of higher degree in the future. They must have big plans for future games using the Decima engine and from what I've seen from playing Horizon Zero Dawn, I am really excited and have faith Gorilla is going to deliver something spectacular.

Is good uh! I like this team, even though my experience with them is limited. I wasn't a fan of the first Killzone, but rather liked Killzone 2, and even more so, Killzone 3. That's it. Ha. I own both of their PS4 releases, but have yet to play them. I understand Killzone Shadowfall is widely thought to be mediocre. Hope to get to Horizon sooner than later. Looks great!

Well deserved. Even before Horizon Zero Dawn I could see how talented they were with Killzone Shadowfall. An underrated game with a great story IMO. I always wanted to see them do something other than FPS where they could really tell a great story.

Hopefully Horizon II + a new IP for the PS5.

More new ips and sequels concurrently seems fantastic. Bring it on
