The heck, this Monkey King might be Jackie Chan in disguise lol.

He actually voiced Sun Wukong in the English dub.

So I've been playing Final Fantasy XII for a few hours now, and one thing that is REALLY bugging me... is the voice acting. Now, don't get me wrong, the voice acting itself is actually great, and the voices fit the characters really well... but the actual sound quality of the voices, dear lord! Did Vaan's voice actor spend half his time with the mic IN his mouth?! Seems like everyone suffers from it for the most part, but Vaan is by far the worst, with Fran coming in a close second.

Was it the echoing of the voice that's off-putting, I guess I'm the only one not bothered by the voice acting, I'm actually liking Fran's voice, just feels right for the character and cute .

I dont know if they fixed it with the remaster, but wasnt the voice files of the original version heavily compressed so that it would fit into one disc? And thus had a bad quality?

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I actually have no idea, their voices really doesn't bother me at all, did you quote me by mistake by any chance maybe?

I said this earlier, but the movie is pretty meh, in my opinion, so don't have high expectations for it. However, the game can potentially do something similar to what Tales of Zestiria: The X did for Tales of Zestiria, the game, in terms of improving on the original content.

Oh I'll heed your advice thanks, but I have a feeling I'm gonna enjoy this(tend to have a very different taste from the masses so who knows), I'll even watch this in Chinese like the good ol days.

He talked with absolute surety and negated any possibility of it coming after 2016. I've heard talks of microtransactions being demanded by FIA themselves because some of their drivers didn't have the time to grind for credits.

Regardless it would be hypocritical of Yong to not criticise Sony for what he criticised every other publisher. But he never acknowledged the good stuff Polyphony gave us for 9 months and this is the only time he discussed this game. Its negative bias. Its not new, gamers like negativity and Yong is just following the money and goodwill of audiences but it comes off a little ridiculous.

I also heard about FIA demanding MTs. But again, I would have preferred Polyphony to come clean and say there will be MT's, but not to the point that GTS will become pay-to-win.

There are a lot of content creators who depend on the outrage factor to push views. However, I don't think YongYea is one of them and I think he covered the situation mostly fairly. I will admit he does add his own biases such as when he thought the MTs were added because GTS's sales were lower than previous entries and called the game 'half-baked'.

FIA demanded the microtransactions recently. There was no way Yamauchi would have known that when he made this statement.

YongYea isn't fair, at all. He says what the audience wants to hear, its an echo chamber. Like the statement EA made of linear single player games not selling well. EA was riding on a hate bandwagon that time and Yong had made like 100 videos on the same shit of Battlefront 2 having lootboxes. He twisted EA's quote and said that they think single player games don't sell completely ignoring the linear word. He mentioned games like Zelda Breath of the Wild and Horizon that were huge hits and an F U to EA's statement but they were fucking open world games. He also mentioned games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim. The only game he mentioned which would contradict EA's statement was Uncharted 4. And the audience went along with it. Everywhere. Sorry to say but gamers are retarded and blindfoldedly hate and love some companies. Yong takes advantage of these gamers, feeding them positive coverage on CDPR games and Hideo Kojima and having negative bias towards most stuff the big 3 hated companies, EA, Activision and Ubisoft do.

As for his GT Sport statements its obvious he never played the game. He never covered it nor any other sim racers apart from controversies surrounding them, feeding into my point that he doesn't know most of shit he talks. That goes for nearly all of these youtubers like LegacyKilla, Pretty Good Gaming and others. Some websites like Polygon have their own biases too. The gaming media is fucked up and I would blame consumers for this, its understandable for a youtuber to be on the side of his audience to get positive feedback, subscribers and shares. Its not understandable for a mature audience to behave like dumb kids who twist everything to favour their own biases.

Oh, It was meant for you, but it was more of a "Did you know...?" type of post lol

So... what's everyone playing at the moment then?

It seems to be quiet in terms of big releases until September, so there's nothing new for me to pick up yet. Last week I actually made some progress with my backlog, as I mentioned before, I finished three games in nine days, which is no big feat for some people, but for anyone with severely limited time such as myself, it's a pretty big deal lol. I decided to take a few days off before jumping into another game, since those three I literally dived into one within an hour of finishing the other.

I REALLY want to start Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, but I'm going away on holiday in four weeks (Well, for weeks on Friday to be exact), and my goal would be to finish it before I go away, but that'd probably mean rushing it and missing out on a lot of stuff, I like to take my time with RPGs, especially Final Fantasy games since they have a lot to offer, and since it's the only mainline game I've never played, I have the feeling I'll want to spend quite a bit of time with it, lol.

Shame on you for forgetting Kiwami 2. It will be released this Aug. 28 and Shenmue I & II on Aug. 21. Those are big games for me.

Kiwami 2 is a priority and Shenmue I & II second.
Then Spiderman CE then DQXI CE.  I already have these 2 pre-ordered.
Then hopefully I will have a spare for Valkyria 4 CE.

Right now I am currently playing Sleeping Dogs, After I got the platinum for FFXV and Finishing 3 games in 9 days is a feat for me. I usually take 1 week or a month to finish a game.
