Considering I think RE4 the worse thing they ever done to RE, then it will be hard for me to consider GoW4 below it.

Blasphemous! *mean mug*

Besides the point of me not liking RE4, it isn't even a RE. They should just called it another name and made it a new franchise.

RE4 was something so bad for the franchise that it directed it to RE5 and RE6 that are very hated and need to return to root on RE7 to find appreciation again.

RE5 and 6 were just trash, that's not RE4's fault. RE4 was good, theres no reason they couldnt make a third person sequel that was better than what we got.

I was one of the few that didnt like RE 4. easly pic for me GoW.

I'll rephrase it. RE4 isn't RE. It just use the same name for the game and characters. RE5 and RE6 is just it getting more and more action oriented which was what RE4 started.

Called it Leon Adventures would be fine.

For me we have RE1-3, Code Veronica and then RE7.

Threads like this will always be made because people love the new game and are curious about the new game's place amongst the greatest of all time.

I feel like it does GoW a disservice because it really is a fantastic game. Easily amongst the best in recent history. It'll take time for the "newness" to wear off. Then, I can give a better answer.

Next battle is Kratos vs Goku.

True. I consider Dead Space to be the true RE5

Ironic, because you could just as easily saw God of War 4 isn’t God of War. But it’s something different for the franchise yet still a great game, same as RE4.

My vote is RE4 because over a decade later we’re still seeing games heavily influenced by it. GoW4 doesn’t really innovate anything in the industry, just in the franchise itself. I can also replay the shit out of RE4. I doubt I’ll replay GoW.

hmm, I wasnt a fan of deadspace, the environments felt to similar to me through the game. RE4 had more variety IMO, and I liked the puzzles too. GOW4 to me is the true RE5.

Having the same camera perspective doesn't mean their similar.

No ****. They're similar in many different ways, almost like a spiritual successor.

This is almost as strange as the Labo vs God of War comparison.
