The few Japanese people with a PS4 and some decent taste, at least like God of War. But damn those God of War sales are atrocious.

Naa mate, there was a shortage, hence the bump to both Pro and Slim versions. You don't need a PS4 Pro to play that baseball game.

There was truly some pent up demand due to PS4 shortage, should clear out within the next 2 weeks.

How do you know it’s fixed?

Its been selling at RRP prices for the past week on Amazon and in stock. The shortages are over but pent up demand might linger for a while hence its high position at Amazon for the past week. (Higher than the Switch all through the week).

Nah it was still sold out many times during the week of tracking. It could of went a little higher.

So Kerotan is vindication. These fabled shortages I regularly spoke of are not so fabled after all. 

 

Mighty impressive second week for god of war, mirroring the UK drop. This will bring the series to new heights in Japan, beating gow3. 

 

Baseball game had a great debut on ps4. Happy with that. 

 

Labo had a big drop and crazily god of war week 2 beat it. Who would ever have called that. 

 

Only negative is monster Hunter out of top 20. It will beat the 3m milestone but not much more.

How did Switch sales go up with no new releases, especially with such a huge drop for Labo? Guess there have been stock issues for the Switch as well.

This week will be the big test for Labo. If it can't pick up during 'golden week' then it will have flopped in Japan.

April 29 was a national holiday, beginning of Golden Week. Start of some big retailer sales I imagine.

Labo seems to be doing poorly in the one market I thought it was guaranteed to excel in. I love seeing the strong legs of BOTW, Splatoon 2, Odyssey, Kirby, The Snack World and MK8D.

Considering it's something aimed at kids, Japan is the last country I expected it to win over, with it's aging, shrinking population. This is a product for young families,not otakus.
