Why would you want war? Unless you think that you won't be affected from it, and even then that'd show a lack of empathy for those who are.

It is absolutely not enough, in fact Vietnam's independence itself is part of the reason why China is contesting the waters to begin with and they most certainly do not have the same ideology ... 

The CPV (Communist Party of Vietnam) puts it's own national interests above the CPC's (Communist Party of China) national interests so they must not have the same ideals ... 

There's a reason why China exiled the Dalai Lama from Tibet because they view any form symbolic sovereignty as dangerous ... (so Vietnam has to go too in China's eyes depending on how lucrative the South China Sea's resources are) 

Remember what happened to those Falun Gong cult leaders or how CPC's VERY OWN troops unleashed barrage of fire against their own CIVILIANS during the Tiananmen Square protests ?! We are talking about a nation who are willingly going to kill their own citizens if necessary and threaten a rogue province (Taiwan) with an incursion if they even dare declare independence! (the big reason why Taiwan isn't recognized by the UN is cause the PRC at the security council keeps blocking the proposition) 

It's still debatable, usually dictator regime  can easily planted on the same country that adopt the same principal of government. Vietnam also has a lot corrupt leader.  Even in Indonesia CCP influence are very strong even thou they have different ideology.

There is no connection between Vietnam case and Dalai lama . Dalai Lama are considered  as central public figure in Tibetan religious community and their people, His attitude towards CCP , will make instabilize politic and civil unrest if he continue to exist in Tibet. And Vietnam is another different matter, it's more of vertical conflict and not horizontal conflict.

Falun Gong also another different matter, and cannot be use as sample to invade Taiwan. Taiwan is  an independent city that have economical power and political power, invading them will cripple the interest CCP had for Taiwan.  Falun Gong cults is just another protester  who don't have any political power in mainland.  That's why CCP build their own base in South China sea because it's hard for them to annexed and  invading Taiwan . Another reason CCP will not invade Taiwan because Taiwan will not able to declare independent from China , Taiwan is not a threat to CCP at all. If CCP invade Taiwan this will likely create more trouble for CCP in globally rather then leave it as it is. For now Taiwan is not threat to  CCP. 

It's just propaganda no matter the scientists involved.

By scaring the general public with the threat of a nuclear war, they hope for increased public pressure on politicians to bring about disarmaments, to favor peace talks in regards to the active military conflicts around the world, to tie countries together through international federations such as the EU, and to favor globalism.

Nobody who is serious actually beliefs there is a significant risk of WW3 in our time.

Well, since he knows that won't happen, there is nothing for him to care about. 

The ideas of war makes me sick. I'm not Liberal or into PC culture But you don't have to be a leftist to be anti war. I hope this whole situation simmers down

I still don't think its anything more than paranoia, but its mostly mainstream media that does that to people. They push the fear propaganda which makes people this way. There's more solid thoughts on why there wont be a ww3 from what other people said in this thread than solid ones based off why we WILL have ww3 imo
