That would be an understatment.
Spiderman has absolutely crushed GOW in Japan, while it's UK debut almost doubled GOW. After Spiderman's second week it's very close to surpassing all the UK sales GOW got in the past 5 months.

We only have Japan and UK info for now but Jesus fooking christ spiderman is crushing gow. Kratos is getting a right old slapping. Sony have seriously strengthened their hand for getting more games exclusive. The batman games didn't sell this well and they were multiplatform.

I remember reading a couple of weeks ago that it was impossible for Spider-Man to beat Batman: Arkham City in total sales. Now it most likely will.

That would be megaton. Sony could justify getting a game like batman exclusive to develope and publish if they can pull this off.
spiderman has topped UK beating SOTR (PS4+XO). So I think the numbers are really going to exceed well beyond the 5 million mark in the long run.
Seems like Spider-Man is headed for at least a short term win during launch. But since 2nd week drop was very small there is even good chance of pretty legs and total sales win.
