Forums - Gaming Discussion - Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire coming to Ps4, X1 and Switch this holiday

if you buy, which platform do you intend to buy? I'll take a look at the Switch version to see if it's worth to buy.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is nearing completion for PC, Mac, and Linux, with a release planned for April 3. For players without a dedicated gaming PC, you can still look forward to a chance to try out this sequel, as Game Informer has learned that Deadfire is set to come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch during the holiday season of 2018.

While Obsidian heads up primary development duties for Pillars II on PC, the game is being ported to consoles by developer Red Cerberus. Versus Evil and Obsidian are working together to publish the game.

I still have to play the first one. Love Obisidian, but I have no time to sit and play a big RPG. However, this one being on Switch, it's my chance to play. Of course I need to buy the Switch first, but that's already planned.

Wow...  This is pretty awesome.

Hardly need a dedicated gaming PC for this game.

At least I didn't think I needed a dedicated one for the first game. Most PC's should be able to run it fine. And I can't imagine this game on a controller.

Same.
These types of games you get on your pc imo.
Their not demanding and they where always played with mouse & keyboard.

It would be like playing Baldurs Gate II, on a console? blapshemy! I tell you.

This isn't a game I thought I'd see on the Switch so I would like to get that version to show some support. At the same time imagining playing a game like this with a controller gives me all sorts of bad vibes.

I have not played this series yet. What is it about? And does it play well on consoles, or does it need a full keyboard/mouse support?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

Controller supports equally as good, for some better than keyboard/mouse.

Reminds me that Spellforce III is one of those that definitely plays well with the K+M.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Oh man...I really should stop playing everything else and finish Pillars I and Divinity II before this gem arrives.
