Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Hmmm...a Full Direct soon?

Honestly I think h next major direct is E3 as Nintendo will want to focus on that event for massive blow out.

I know ppl like the announcements in the mini but that were mostly throwaway remasters o keep ppl happy for first half of the year.

No way, we always had one in April and we don't even have info on games coming in Spring and Summer. I don't see Nintendo announcing game for June to August at E3. End of August at the limit but other than that we will have a direct soon.

I think it will be this week or next week,  spots are open 1-2 weeks before a direct happens. Starting the year with a Direct mini is kinda odd to hype up a year when last year they literally announce almost all the big games in January and it worked out super well, I think they might do the same thing this year while announcing some other games at E3 + some teasing for 2019.

Seeing how there is a suppose update of Switch demos in stores on the 22nd with 10 new games, it would lead to a Direct before that. I think the Direct will happen this week, I don't see why they would had new games but announce them after or the same day and they don't announce stuff the weekends.

We will know soon, but we will probably get a new one soon, this week would be perfect.

Nintendo tends to not like to show the carrots when the horse is galloping.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Yeah the whole "mini" thing suggests something not so mini in the near future IMO

This is quite intresting

Yea that's what I thought, I would rather have it this week than next week. It might be an exclusive one to FE but a general big Direct would make sense.

If it's a FE direct, we can suppose the games is coming out this spring like they usually do. But I think it would really make more sense for Nintendo to talk about the online and other updates + announce games to hype up the year.

Yeah, this Mini Direct was strictly about games only for Switch, very fast, rapid information without any big news, so full Direct where they could discuss more games including 3DS, posible Switch online, features, VC, Amiibo, posible new Joy Cons, bundles....in near future would make sense.

He was just on ResetERA and stated expect another mini direct is set for Thursday but he was wrong about Fire Emblem. Since according to him it still won't show up there. But he said there will be a full length direct in February but aint sure if Fire Emblem will be in that one either.

EDIT

he posted on twitter Fire Emblem was supposed come out in the first half of the year but has been delayed to Fall due the choice of making it a worldwide release and doubles down on the no showing on the 18th but there will be a direct in Febuary and even said says Yoshi and Dragon Quest 11 will be there.

That would be quite strange of Nintendo to have two mini directs in a row. I doubt that would happen tbh. I think that they'll have a full direct before the end of the month.

Maybe they decided to split the mini direct into two parts to avoid having anything get lost in the news? or this could be a 3DS focus mini direct? But even those two are kind of a stretch anyways.

Oh well guess we gotta wait until Thursday to see if he's right.

Ohh not again...
