PS4 domination this gen. It's almost like a PS2 with market share.

PS4 is at 60% at the moment, but that's only because the Switch just released. PS2 was over 73%.

Isn't it funny how its conveniently ignored that Nintendo real 8th gen console is actually the WiiU? But yeah, lets all just keep pretending that a console released almost 4 years into an existing generation of consoles is in the same generation of console.

If you ask me the NS should be grouped into gen 8.5. being that its likely its successor won't release until 2022/2023.... which could very well be into the 3rd or 4th year of the actual 9th gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft.

WiiU launched in 2012, PS4/XB1 in 2013= 8th gen

XB360 in 2015, PS3/Wii 2016 = 7th gen

PS4+XB1 2013, NS in 2017.......... please, can anyone tell me how this is still considered an 8th gen console? Then what was the WiiU?

God I love watching people go fucking rabid anytime someone says something less than excellent about the Switch. We have way too little information to be able to confidently predict it's trajectory going forward and yet we have people acting like they've seen into the future haha.

Yep. I have been trying to avoid any Nintendo related comment lately.  Things get heat up really fast.  And there is one particular user that I've been avoiding his posts like the plague.

Same thing I have been saying..... scary to imagine how things would have been if the switch was the one at 70M and everything else was under 35M. Or that sony or MS were the ones that had a home console that sold less than 15M in 4 years.

You aren't reaching in the slightest.

Don, I know that the mod team is frustrated with the reports you submit. Your judgment of situations is insufficient. You are too biased and thus prejudice gets in your way all too often.

I haven't submitted any report about you, but sure they may be mad about others reports, haven't asked them.

All of us are biased and prejudice is part of every human being, so your point?

I agree, but then it would need to be grouped with XBOX and PS4 Pro as Gen 8.5 or "8th gen done right". And since we're not getting separated sales numbers of the upgraded consoles from Microsoft and Sony, it's only logical place is at 8th gen, at least right now

nope. PS4pro and XB1 are not gen 8.5. they only thing that differs from them and older models is that they are packing more power. they are playing the exact same games. they are on the exact same OS and network. Same controllers. everything is the same. just more powerful. how !any games does the NS share with the WiiU? how many will it share by the end of it's life? with the PS4pro/XB1x, it's the exact same library. you don't have to buy a PS4pro to play horizon. you have to buy a NS to play arms or Mario though....

Then explain me why NECs TurbographX 16 and SupergraphX are 2 different gens, despite the SupergraphX only being a TurbographX on steroids and could read and play the exact same games and peripherals? Or the Gamecube and the Wii? Granted, the latter could do some more things, but everything the GC could to, the Wii could do it, too. So no, just being more powerful without changing the rest doesn't mean it has to be the same gen

Actually it's ones saying things like "Switch will fall off a cliff in 2018" without any proof whatsoever that start all the trouble.

Sorry, but I asked you a question.

When quickrick replied to you saying "its' first year was its best year shipments wise, second year flat, third year down, fourth year it fell hard. 3DS sales were the highest the first year," you ignored that portion as if you never said anything.
And when I asked you about the same subject, you seem to use the same strategy.

I don't have a problem with people saying something inaccurate, if that is the case here. It happens to everyone.
But when you use a snarky attitude, the very least you could do is acknowledge it.
So I ask again, was it or wasn't it? And if no, how so?

Possibly he answered my question, and that was the end of it? Why continue to press it? I was actually unaware of 3DS sales trajectory, I just always assumed Pokemon X/Y was the highest hardware year. It was not apparently...satisfied now?

They could be packing 10 teraflops and it wouldn't change a thing. Sony and MS chose to make them new models of ps4 and x1. They won't have exclusives.

VGC has increased European LTD sales for Switch by ~550k, so the numbers are ~25% better than before.

11.1m still seems undertracked. This week was likely over 1kk for switch.
