I’m confused with the combat mechanic. I hope there are tutorials.

- You have main party characters who are linked to support type characters called blades.

- Each main party character starts with 1 but can equip 3, Rex however has a 4th one with him at all times.

- Blades come in 3 types, Healer, Tank, Attack, the combination you go for on each character determines what class type they are.

- You equip 3 abilities from each of your current blades giving each party member a total of 9 abilities.

- The 3 abilities are assigned to 3 of the face buttons while the fourth button is used to activated specials when they're charged.

- In battle you can switch between each blade meaning the's a fair bit of micro management.

I'd say that yep, it tells the story background so if you want to be spoiler-free don't see it.

Yeah, i had a feeling that would be the case. I was sold already so i'll see it when i play it. Thanks for the heads-up.

Yeah, the game will definitely be good, so its best to go without any information. I've just checked out some combat mechanics and that's it. But a friend of mine warned me about mild spoilers, but spoilers nonetheless.

About the game, I just hope that it manages to blend well XCX open world design and gameplay and the first Xenoblade plot and narrative. That'd be a dream. I'm hopeful that we might have another masterpiece on our Switch collection this year .

Basically skip the trailer and for the most part you are good. I'm not sure if the trailer ending is that big of a spoiler anyway. Obviously have to play the game first, but I doubt they woudl spoil something huge like they did.

The part about exploration got me really excited. The exploration is main reason why I love the first Xenoblade and this game has more of that, so I'm definitely looking forward to play it (though not on release, since I doubt I'll get a Switch this year, unless there's a reeeeally good deal :p)

I migth see the gameplay mechanics bit maybe. Did they show a lot of the game areas? I'd love to keep that info out of my mind and be surprised about them.

Nooooo! Less than 2mins in, SPOILERS! wahahaha No regrets!!! (cries in the corner). . . . .

Edit: Those character intros though, loving it! The art style really pops! Getting me more hyped! Typing this as I watch! Needs more exclamation point! Damnit!

Edit #2- Conclusion: I can safely say now that I am more hyped for this than Dragon Quest XI and Ni No Kuni 2,there I said it. (still getting those two obviously )

Nice, I like that they tried a more condensed, varied approach to XC2 in world design. I prefer those when the game is story-focused. I lol'd at the affirmation that the world is a bit smaller than XCX. A bit is still pretty huge. (I still expect some negative comments about it though).

Oh, and I think it's the right time to start playing XC again. It'd be nice to play both of them one after another. FE:Warriors and SMO are getting in my way, but I'll soon dispatch the later XD.

Good, my only complaint about this game (the English VA) can be avoided.

Well, I somehow restrained myself from watching in order to avoid story and environment spoilers.

I actually welcome the news that the worlds are a little smaller and more compact than XCX, sounds like a better fit for a more story-driven game.
