Then prepare  to be amazed, it will maybe  be switch > ps4> xbox

You seriously think Xbox will be last for November with X/Scorpio pre orders in its arsenal? I can’t see that happening. Especially once the $199 S starts next week.

The $199 S WITH Battlefield 1 has already been available for at least the past week, along with a $239 standalone. Best either of them did was in the upper 30s on Amazon I believe. Right now the $199 sits at #39.

That was a discontinued bundle. The whole line of S will be down to $199 on Black Friday I believe. Either way it’s gonna be a tight 3 way race. Haven’t seen it like this in a long time.

The XB1S has already been getting significant deals. You could get the 500GB bundles at $249 along with a free game. There are also 3rd party sellers selling the XB1S at $199. The reason why the 1TB PS4 shot up so much was that it was a $100 drop from $299 to $199.

I know. I’m just saying Microsoft will still have a $199 offering too to with an already stacked X pre order number for November. I’m pretty sure the majority they sell this month will be the X however with S bringing up the rear seeing as how it’s performed all year.

December is a huge toss up as everything will be even with no pre orders to help.

I’m just spitballing, but I think the X will sell <300k, but especially no more than 400k, for the month. I think there’s no way it sells more than the S. I think the X has already reached a certain level of saturation, in line with people thinking it would be very frontloaded. Just look at the Amazon charts. The X has been back in stock for 2-3 days, and it’s only reached the mid-20’s, and has actually fallen recently more than it’s risen.

Having cross play without being able to join up with the other console users would still have huge benefits for everyone. It helps load times for us, it helps ecosystem for the devs. Allowing more players in 1 pool opening the possibility for more varied playlists. The negative effect for Sony would be marginal at best here. And arguing against cross play falls into blind allegiance in my mind. There's steps Sony and ms could take so it doesn't outright benefit Xbox and negitvly effect Sony.

Oh my Lord, please stop with this. It's the go to argument in every single thread on this subject. I'm a realist, that's all. People want to know why, I provide the answer.

It doesn't change the fact that it's the truth. And I did point out that there is stuff that could be done by both ms and Sony to make it happen without taking advantages away from Sony. And maybe ms is the ones being stubborn about it and not budging on certain aspects of it. I'm saying it's not nessicaily all sonys fault at all. But cross play is good for everyone.

I Think x will do 350-450k. Is that going to be enough to beat out PS4 and switch maybe not. I'm curious to see how much it takes away from the s. Last year the s did 1 million. I'd peg it at 800k with no x this year. Will the x eat into those sales , yes. But how much? I think s=700k so I'm guess about 100k subtracted from the s and the rest of sales are upgrades, and other people who would not have gotten the s.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Indeed, Sony knows that more hardware sold = PSN cards. Can it make back to 1 ?

It’s the PS+ membership code. It’s $40 instead of $70. It seems people are stacking up their PS+ membership while it’s cheap.
