First half 2018 is SoT, Crackdown 3, SOD2 and Ori 2 which is way better than First half 2017 which was Halo Wars 2.

Halo Wars 2 was pretty rad though. Objectively the best console RTS we've seen this gen.

Objectively, it is Cities: Skylines.

What is their lineup for 2018?
Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, Ori 2. Anything else?

That's just first half and people seem to be lesbian g out PUBG. Time will tell if that actually moves consoles but getting the biggest game in the world as a console exclusive, even if it is timed is a huge deal.

Also there is a very good chance halo 6 and FH4 are this fall. I don't like that MS doesn't take many risks on new IPS but a part of me can't blame them. They put out very good games like sunset overdrive and quantum break and it gets no support from the consumer.

1) PUGB is not the biggest game in the world.

2) Forza Horizon 4 should be released next year, Halo 6 has not been announced yet.

3) Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break werent developed by Microsoft.

it will surpass the bone easily christmas

If this was a best strategy game debate, okay. But I said RTS and that's where Halo Wars falls.

1. Based on sheer volume of ppl playing it and the interest it drives, it very well could be. Does it make more money then the cods and destinys of the world? No. But it is still a massively popular game especially for being on a single platform atm. Either way it's a big pickup for them.

2. You think because a game hasn't been announced it won't come out? By fall 2018 it will have been 3 years since a main halo game. I'd be shocked if we don't have a new halo as there main title for next holiday season.

3. I'm aware they aren't developed by MS but they were still published by them and funded by them. They may not own the IPs but if the consumers supported those games then MS surely would have green lit a sequel but neither were very well supported by the consumer. And these games were attempts to expand there exclusive library.

Personally if I was MS I'd be going to a lot of Devs and trying to make some exclusive deals to revive some franchises and ones that might be cheaper and therefore less of a risk. Splinter cell, lost planet, bioshock, ninja garden and mass effect were all at one point or another Xbox ecckusives that have at one point been huge sellers that have disappeared. Ea basically shelved mass effect after andromeda but if MS came to them with a wad of cash and said make another and we will back it I think they would and it would get gamers on there side considering the live that franchise has. The best selling lost planet was the original and it was 360 exclusive for quite awhile. Talk to capcom about revitalizing it. The worst that happens is they say no. Best thing happens is even a Couple of them say yes and you expand your library of exclusives and all it costs us money which they have to spare and some of those franchises probably wouldn't cost as much as say a rise of the tomb raider or titanfall did.

I went with Q2 2019.

I see the Xbox sales starting to hit the brakes even harder soon as exclusive software is drying up fast, and I have no faith in XB1X doing anything beyond Xmas 2017.

I see the switch getting stronger and it only takes one Pokémon game for it to go super nova. Even right now it's giving the mighty PS4 strong competition.

Sony want to make money by selling art, Nintendo want to make money by selling fun, Microsoft want to make money.

Halo 5 was announced in 2013, only to come out in 2015.

You think Halo 6 will get announced AND released in less than a year?

MS had been on record saying they didn't like how they were announcing games so far in advance and are changing that model. If games like wolfenstein and fallout 4 and AC origins can be announced and released in the same year what makes you think a halo game that has been in development at least 2-3 years with assets already in place like the engine what makes you think it wouldn't come out in 2018? MS has been known to have a huge release every fall and they really only have 2 big franchises in gears and halo. I think it's too early for gears so it has to be halo. This is the first year in awhile they haven't pushed a huge exclusive for the holidays and that is because of, at least I assume there big push bring the X

I would go as far to say Pokémon is arguably the biggest hardware mover out of all franchises.

I think that's probably still mario but we've never seen a Pokemon on a console (well a true Pokemon game anyway) to really tell. You may very well be right though. A curious study for me though would be to see how many units would be moved if one of these massive third party games went exclusive. Games like call of duty, gta, destiny etc etc are massive sellers but I wouldn't say they move hardware all that much. And this will never happen but what if theoretically the next call of duty or gta went exclusive to one of these consoles how many more consoles would get sold. There are millions every year who only buy and play call of duty every year, what if it went PlayStation exclusive how many of those Xbox kids would be b going mom and dad for a PlayStation
