I was talking more about the Software.

Yeah because it's a good week for ps4. The fact it won't go lower is great.  Safely above 20k during the October lull.

That doesnt make it good though, all sales this week were pretty low (including switch hardware but its just gonna do switch numbers lol). Only thing that did good was leggy games. Hardware is low, even ps4.

Not too bad. Pretty typical for October. Actually is a decent improvement on last year due to Switch> lost YoY sales.

70k Overall to 88k Overall.

Software is also pretty much the same, I really don't see why anyone would release a game during October in Japan but whatever.

God-DAMN...

This week has been *terrible*

Splatoon 2's legs are at an all time low. I think it will go back up of course around Novemember-December but 20k is still pretty disappointing, especially when 40k Switch's are sold.

Lost Sphear did TERRIBLE which is sad because it looked like such a good game! I plan to pick it up next year.

What week is this for Fire Emblem Musuo? 3rd or 4th? 4k .. that's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad D :

Funny how a weekly 50% attach rate is considered low for Splatoon by now in Japan

I can't tell if you're arguing i'm wrong or saying that it's funny because Splatoon is so big in japan that a 50% weekly attach rate is considered low ...

Either way I kind of expected more weekly sales just because Splatoon 2 is probably at like 1.4 mil in Japan including digital and they're nearing 2 mil Switch's in Japan correct?

Tragic sales this week

I'm not argueing that you're wrong, I just remember how so many thought that Splatoon would bomb W101 style and now having "only" 50% attach rate is considered weak.

From the famitsu report we could see that Splatoon 2 had quite some amount of digital sales , and there's always the possibility that it's supply constrained and selling through most of the shipments. On the other hand with the Switch being so popular it naturally also attracts people who don't care about the game at all, so it's kinda expected that the attach rate will go down over time, especially considering that it has about 70% attach rate in Japan right now.

Yeah that's the same thing that happened to BOTW

Still good for Splatoon 2.

22k on mediacreate and 26k on Famitsu for ps4. That's not low for a traditional home console in Japan.  I'd also argue that 3DS selling 20k+ isn't low either when you consider this a slow period for it aswell and also consider how late in its life it is.

Switch isn't low either it's just low compared to what it could be selling if there was sufficient stock.

Why does Famitsu regularly have ps4 and switch numbers much closer together?
