This is just my own prediction and you are free to agree or disagree with me.  But I have closely followed Xbox One for the past few years and I can tell you that it doesn't matter if they have the most powerful console out that isn't gonna change anything with the consumers,  Sony has established the PS4 as the standard go to console for the current gen, and its enormous userbase isn't gonna be interested in buying a 500$ console with no games(which is gonna be my next point).   Xbox One got no exclusive games coming out for it in the near future, besides Forza 7 .. and don't get me wrong I love me some Forza but Microsoft needs something bigger than just a racing game, it needs to invest in 1st party studios to develop quality AAA games.   Thus, judging things based on the current situation, I think that the Xbox One X is gonna be a flop,  it will have a very small user base(die hard Xbox fans)  but the average consumer will not be convinced by it.

The fact that the PS4 pro, even before the Xbox One X announcement, wasn't exactly flying off of shelves should tell you all you need to know.

Xbox one s bundles coming soon at $279 vs the X with no game at $500. Only a small minority will buy the X. After that sales will drop off and go back to normal.

My opinion is no one gives a shit about Microsoft these days.  They can focus on servers.  I mean "the cloud".  Be better for my stock purchase of them.

I totally agree with you. Some people in the Xbox community think it will be a beast(in power and so in sales) but in fact it will be a flop because its only argument is this so overused Teraflops (while it mean practically nothing). So maybe we will see a good/passable launch with all the fans hyped by this (an effect amplified by the holiday season). But after that, it will simply bomb. The Xbox One S will represent around 80-90% of the total sales. And next year global sales will be equal to this year, in my opinion... so very bad sales considering the launch of a new console. 

How can it not? Even if it was cheaper, they've already lost the whole child audience because the name sounds too similar to the Xbox One S. So that leaves only the hardcore xbox fans, who may not buy due to the price.

I didnt know children were such high purchasers.  If that is the case then leapfrog must be a stock that will take off....

yeah sony's the best ever no one will change to xbox, sony has won this generation by a long shot!!! no contest!!! but i still think there is a market for 2 companies in gaming or 3!

I have a xbox one and will get the x1X but I'm an xbox guy so that's a given.

I like to have the best experience 4k curved tv, hi res sound. *yes its called hi res* dolby atmos lol so even for 3rd party games I want the x1x for my eyes to be in constant orgasm!!

Its similar to buying a car. You don't need a luxury brand a base kia will get the job done!!! But some prefer it.
So that will be xbox 1 sales. people who just want the best experience, the luxury crowd.

Sounds like you want someone to pat you on the back. 

kids ask parents. parents buy. kids are the driving force. So if the kids are not 'clear' its a new product like wii U then it wont sell.
