The 3 important things to know.

Switch can output very good visuals on Nintendo hands.

It have potential to do a lot of Multiplats.

Some very demanding MPs or some genres that fanbase isn't interested probably won't get a port.

Pretty much. FIFA actually seems to be a decent measuring stick of the platform's power; notably better than PS3/360, but still notably behind PS4/Xbone.

on a good point the user review for switch was very positive (better than on other plats), hope the sales pick up.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Eh, really disagree about Fifa.  They just took the 360 mesh assets and retextured them and tossed in some new features.  It's custom built in the same sense the Creation Engine is custom built :P.  That is, it really isn't,  the custom moniker is just spin.  Doom, Wolfenstein 2 (ESPECIALLY Wolfenstein) will be better metrics.

On a statistical level, Switch leans closer to the 360 than it does in a real world performance level due to the Tegra X1 being far newer and more efficient on the hardware and software end.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying FIFA is an ideal example of Switch's power, just that it's somewhat useful in the sense that it's a PS3/360/Switch/PS4/Xbone multiplat where the Switch version shows a marked graphical advantage over last gen.

can I make my voice heard that I don't want this on switch?

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Take it and shove it in your ass.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Slightly better when undocked. Significantly more powerful when docked.

WiiU is more powerful than X360 and PS3 but less powerful than X1 and PS4. Switch is more powerful than X360 and PS3 but less powerful than X1 and PS4. How much room do you think is in that gap?

A couple hundred MFLOPS. Not much, but it's there. IIRC, Switch was 1.1 TFLOPS, XB1is 1.3 TFLOPS (XB1X: 6TFLOPS)  and PS4 is 1.84 TFLOPS (Pro: 4.2 TFLOPS). For last gen, Wii U was 0.352 360 was 0.240 TFLOPS, and PS3 was 0.192 TFLOPS or so.

Currently (Re-)Playing: Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void Multiplayer, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Currently Watching: The Shield, Stein's;Gate, Narcos

First I don’t really trust these developers at all....Second how’d that even work. There’d be huge downgrades in terms of graphics, physics and AI (which already is bad enough) needed, inevitably so.

FLOPS aren't really a useful metric for comparing systems to wildly different in architecture and design. It's kind of like comparing horsepower between a car, a boat, and a plane.

Your earlier post was correct; Switch is slightly more powerful than PS3/360/Wii U when portable, and significantly more so when docked.

#FirstPost :)

Sadly, the numbers for the Switch are neither correct nor comparable right now.

1. Those ~ 1,1 tFlops are based on the FP16 mode. The PS4's or XB1's are in 32FP mode. That pretty much means,

the Switch has only 512gFlops in FP32 mode.

2. Nintendo underclocked the X1 even in docked mode. Instead of the normal ~1GHz it runs at 768GHz putting

the Switch slightly below 400 gFlops

In terms of raw performance, the Swich's power is at around 22% of the base PS4 specs in docked mode.

Even with the more modern architecture and more efficient Nvidia components the Switch shouldn't be able to

deliver more than 30% of what the base PS4 is capable.

The Switch may be a powerful handheld, but as a home console it's even a step back compeared to the WiiU.

Nintendo would have been better off promoting it as a handheld you can play with on your TV

than a home console you can take with you on the go.

BTT:

While I really wished for a good racing simulation on the Switch, I highly doubt this would even be possible.

Project Cars 2 is a CPU heavy game due to all of the physics it has to calculate. The Switch's CPU woudn't be able to handle them,

especially not in portable And remember guys... in a game like this, downgrading it means removing gameplay itself.

Well... and there's the other point that "Slightly mad" is just a ...
