Uncharted 4, Horizon and Zelda didn't do that already?

Nah Uncharted only sold because bundles. Zelda was the only game to get worthwhile during launch. And the amount of hype Horizon got makes every game sell great ;).

This post is sarcastic

Back in december (21st of) 2016, it was over 8.7m units sold :P

Thats alot of bundles.

Its now like 9months lateron..... Im sure its over 10m bundled now :)

I wonder why they havnt done a PR statement.

Anyways bundleing is a smart way to drive up sales nr's.

Vgc'z hardware for July (in the US):
8th :  44,6k NiS
15th:  49,5k NiS
22nd:  87k NiS

= total of 181k NiS

and we know from NPD it ends up at:
222k Switch

Is it overtracked? or does it do like 35-40k next week?

35-40k sounds plausible. A big shipment of Switch's for Splatoon 2's release, which then could of lead to a lack of supply for next weeks shipment.

Nice opening for Spla2n, should become yet another evergreen Switch title.

Breath of the Wild passes Horizon (again) to become the best selling game of 2017.

Time for Horizon to cut its price again. ;)

The last Horizon boost was from the Days of Play campaign, right?  Sony had some great deals.  Can you imagine what would happen if Nintendo had their own Days of Play?

They don't need to. Their games sell well enough at full price, why discount something that still sell ?

To sell more. Even GTA5 is often discounted, and that sells so much it makes everything around it look bad (it's sold about 20% as much as the WiiU + 3DS have sold games in total :p). Nintendo is fairly unique in how much they avoid discounts. Even their poor performers often keep a high price for years.

Wow @ Splatoon 2 sales, considered NS user base still just ~5M, and wow at the boost it gave to HW sales too, again probably limited by supplies.
Nice PS4 sales, a normal drop after last week boost, and all the attention focused on NS and Splatoon this week, it's the only one that can regularly outsell NS and fall not too much behind during the latter's best weeks.
3DS still alive, XBone as always surely under MS expectations, but decent sales.
We can notice that no platform suffers due to NS success, even its best weeks don't affect them too much, they can thank themselves for what they achieve and they just must blame themselves for their failures.

That's the thing, as good as this week's sales are, it could've been even better had stock been sufficient.

Yeah, I am not a fan of how rigidly Nintendo avoids discounts. While I think it's too early to cut price on Botw, the unfortunate truth is it'll probably still be full price 2 years from now, and that's shit IMHO.

More PS4 games in the Top 75 than all the other platforms combined.

Weird... considering Switch won in total software.
