Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft needs better pr for crackdown

How about some better graphics. This looks like it's running on the PSVita. Not the game you want to show off for "The most powerful console ever" . Don't think this game will get highly reviewed either. It just doesn't look like a good game to play.

There was a backlash against polygon magazine because they features a preview of doom with a editor who was bad at first person shooters. There was a pretty big backlash over the net about it. Crackdowns is an ok looking game but looks passsable in the hands of an accomplished.fps gamer who excels in that genre for marketing purposes. Doom is an excellent fps and the preview was soured for many by featuring gameplay by an untalented or not even moderately accurate editor.

Rand al Thor 19 for a "super" hardcore Xbox Fan is pretty level headed.
He's right the PR for it hasnt been great imo.

Holy moly this game is ugly. Looks like a PS3/360 game from about 2008.

It looks better than a PS3/360 game... but just barely lol.

MS should have kept working on Scalebound instead of this.

The "cars" pileing up and humping each other... that cant be intended, hopefully they improve A.I in this game so for release they dont do that.

Oh dear...

Yes the graphics are pretty terrible but the game does look fun. If I still had an xb1, I'd definitely check it out. It's not like Xbox owners can be picky anyway, this is one of the very few exclusives the console has this year.

I'd actually say thats a bigger problem for it than its graphics (single player in it looks like crap).

It doesnt look fun, and its still got bugs in it this close to release (cars humping each other cuz of bad A.I).

Xbox owners can be picky, they shouldnt have to settle. If MS does a poor 1st party game, just get a multiplat instead.

Well this gen Xbox owners have picked up multiplats over quality exclusives like QB, SO and HW2. So they're pretty picky I'd say.

Crackdown looks like a fun game to play, just watch some other clips by someone who can play. It's not a great looking game of course but not even nearly as ugly as some suggest. I'm looking forward to the final product.

lol exactly. I mean... I guess the OP has never seen Clueless Gamer with Conan.

Then again the OP did say they should delay the game because the graphics aren't purty, linking an article that also said the game was a blast to play. Crackdown 3 just makes people post weird stuff.

Dude, I don't even know if the people they chose to play the game were the worst part about this. The physics was terrible. Thank goodness that major Nelson is a good speaker because .... lol man.

Why were the cars trying to "fuck" each other? XD because they just looked like dogs humping one another...

Judging by the videos provided, this game needs a lot longer in development still to not be ripped apart from critics.
