Now we are exatly only one week before Splatoon 2 launch, perfect time to make same predictions.

So predict:

-Splatoon 2 1st week sales in Japan

-1 year sales in Japan

-LTD sales in Japan

Few things you can take in consider, Splatoon 1 sold 145k in first week on instal base of around 1.7m Wii Us in that time, LT sold around 1.7m on around 3.3m Wii Us, I dont know how much sold 1st year.

Splatoon 2 pre orders on COMG are incredibly strong with currently 847 points (usually 1 point means 1k of sales but that doesnt mean that 10 point means exactly 10k sales).

Also we dont know how many copies of game Nintendo will sheep for 1st week.

I'd say really well, just not sure how well. Splatoon 2 has being a huge force in Japan (battling against DQXI for both 3DS and PS4 no less) and Amazon in the US even had pre-orders unavailable for a time before it was able to accept more. Plus, the amiibo and even the new headsets are apparently doing pretty well. Not to mention that bundle that was gone in a hurry. I'm not good at predicting things, especially sales, but I think Splatoon 2 will definitely do much better than its predecessor.
