I don't think anyone thought that when the Switch library is like it is.

No, a lot of people thought it would flop.  You just weren't paying attention.

And again with this incredibly persisten myth that fewer games=more sales regardless of quality.  This. is. demonstrably. false.

And some people thought it would be the next splatoon.  You can find people for every extreme.

Not bad first week numbers for Gundam Versus. PS4 doing very strong at #1 with almost 30k!

and isn't a case a like? three weeks after the release, still top 3 on salles (when everything is solding like shit) and sold way better on japan than tekken 7 and stret fighter 5 so far, in Japan. "Arms is having legs".

It can stop selling or sell in long term. for now, is doing fine, just like the first Solatoon (on a basis of 1/3 - WiiU vs Switch)

I'm aware there was more positivity, but he was saying no one thought it would flop or struggle sales wise.  Which is false.  It was a pretty even split honestly.

I'd argue that some said it would flop and some said it was the next splatoon. Most however thought it would do good. Somewhere in between. And it's turning out exactly like that.

It's not false. It's simple mathematics. You're got 1 million early Switch adopters with not much of a choice.

Nice to see Zelda in the charts for quite some time, could possibly hit 1M in Japan

Yes, because Switch owners HAVE to buy games regularly or their brain explodes.  These are games not cocaine.  If owners think the game is bad it won't sell. Lack of competition means its easier to get attention.  It does NOT mean it is easier to get positive attention.  Wonderful 101 launched on an even more starved Wii U and sold like ass.  And the Dreamcast and Saturn were home to many games that had little competition that sold terribly.  Just a lack of competition doesn't mean sales will go up.

This isn't cocaine, where taking out the premium dealers results in people buying the shady crap cut with contaminants in some rat hole.  These are video games.

I personally was surprised when everyone was claiming that the 100k debit was amazing given that half the people predicted above that in the prediction thread. Miyamoto predicted 150k, tbone 111k for example. Maybe they are right though - maybe it will do 600k-725k LTD.
