May must have been a pretty dead month, then. No huge sales for any game.

NieR: Automata sold quite a few of its copies digitally.

I noticed that most of the times the ration between physical and digital is +/- 10% if both is offered. Across all platforms. Does this apply to western markets, too? Does anybody know this?

EA said a few months ago that digital sales for their games made up 30% of the sales. From NPD we can tell that digital sales for games are at least 25% while some games like For Honor had a 50% digital.

Ok, that's something. Thx!

Most interesting thing this month is the digital only release of Wolfenstein and doing just as well as if it were a physical release.

Wolfenstein was actually released around the same time as in the west in Japan. However it was on sale on PSN in April and in May which is why it did so much. Same thing happened to Battlefield and Assassin's Creed games earlier this year.

I see, I guess I was too lazy to look it up. These lists could use the original release dates for reference.

Still unlike Battlefield and AC, Wolfenstein has relatively great digital sales compared to physical.

[PS4] Wolfenstein: The New Order (Bethesda Softworks, 06/05/14) – 7,448
to over 70k digital.

MK8's distance from #2 is ridiculous
