Sorry guys. I had a meltdown.

All the anxiety of waiting on the tests for my tumor got to me.

Totally understandable. Man, this sucks so hard. How are things now, my friend?

It's the hardest part of the wait now; I've had a biopsy taken and a full body scan, the results should come in the next 2 days to a week. Never been so scared in my life. Trying to focus on stuff like gaming to keep me from losing my shit.

Well, the TGAs trailer for Doom Eternal no longer shows a Switch logo, and apparently its Amazon placeholder listing has been updated with the ominous "We don't know if or when this item will be in stock."

Looks increasingly likely the Switch version is dead. :(

I mean, we know Switch and the others won't release at the same time so it could just a way to say they have no fix release date yet.

Btw, pretty sure Panic Button will do their job just fine ^^

I really hope so, it is one of my my most wanted games, and there's been so much worrying stuff going on with the Switch version, I'd be devastated if they canned it.

Coming to the last week of the year and decade, looking ahead to 2020 and the new decade so far:

Games known about and still to be revealed: Monolith's New I.P, Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3.

Games not announced but very likely: Tomodachi, Mario Franchise RPG (Paper or M&L or both)

We (or at least I) desperately need a January general Direct.

Even compared to usual, we know so little about next year's lineup. Still no word on whether games like BOTW2 or Bayonetta 3 are coming in 2020. The only major new release that has a solid date is Animal Crossing, 3 months away.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3-2019

Daemon X Machina-2019

Last year we had at least seen gameplay of Luigi's Mansion, Yoshi, Deus ex Machina, Fire Emblem.

Also I'm talking about new games, so not Xenoblade DE or Tokyo Mirage Sessions.

Anyway, I'm not saying what we knew last year was satisfactory; Nintendo was being too stingy then too. It's just even worse now.

Next year might be my last one, I want to know what I'll get to play.

Nintendo is really playing their cards close to the vest right now.  Astral Chain was announced just 6 months before launch.  Mario Maker 2, 4 months.  Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, 7 months.  Ring Fit Adventure was what, 1 month?  2?

I wonder if this compressed hype cycle approach is something they want to stick to going forward.

No you said, "Even compared to usual, we know so little about next year's lineup."

I provided a list of every known Nintendo published title at this point in time each year and all 3 lists are about the same.

Adding qualifiers like gameplay or new games doesnt change that, this is a pretty standard amount to know at the end of the year.

Part of how much we know is how much we've seen, of which gameplay is paramount. But I'm too tired, depressed, and anxious to debate this.
