Preordered just now.

If it had every DKC, FF and Chrono Trigger it would be perfect but this is still pretty decent.

Its got FFVI on it though.

Yeah i know, but i wanted 4 and 5 too. Mystic Quest can stay where it is :^)

Guys, seriously? The SNES had way too many amazing games. They can't please all of you, just accept it. The list is extremely decent. The only title I would exclude is Kirby's Dream Course, I would have swapped that for TMNT IV. Then again, I don't know how the licensing for TMNT IV would work. So I'd pick R-Type 3 instead.

I still have my physical copy of Turtles in Time :D

Lucky you!

So wait did Nintendo say anything about the power adapter being a usb? If so then much like the NES classic this should be easy to add any SNES game like Final Fantasy 4 and 5, Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3, Harvest Moon, Killer Instinct, Chrono Trigger, Fire Emblem 4, F-Zero, Sim City, and Final Fight

Definitely not for me as I have no reason to play old games which I find considerably worse than the current games, but good for those who want em and for NInty who's gonna make a lot of money with little effort.

I dunno. I replayed Super Metroid a couple months back and completed it. I would say it's certainly stood the test of time and is an absolute blast. Certainly better than some of the milked yearly rehashed games of today.

Never played it so I can't comment on it. But games back then were very simplistic and the AI incredibly predictible. Modern games are much more complex and interesting for me. Better graphics, better music quality, better stories, better moves, better (or existing) voice acting helps. I don't feel much immersion playing old games.

I don't disagree. Some games just havent aged well like StarFox, Mario Kart and F-Zero...

But there are a few diamonds in the rough that have aged better than others... Like Super Metroid, Secret of Mana, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Their graphics might not be cutting edge, but the 2D art styles have aged well. They are timeless classics. Every gamer should give them a play through.

Super Metroid is one of the best games of all time in my opinion. It has almost no dialog, no story elements... It's graphics are average it's A.I is predictable... Yet it is simply amazing.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just feel like we have so many awesome games nowadays that going back makes little sense no matter how well those games have aged. Then again, if you have more fun with those, I totally get it :)

I still love Super Metroid's eerie graphics, it has lots of little details and the grainy pixels are just icing on the cake. I'd love Nintendo to make another sprite based Metroid.
