Never played it so I can't comment on it. But games back then were very simplistic and the AI incredibly predictible. Modern games are much more complex and interesting for me. Better graphics, better music quality, better stories, better moves, better (or existing) voice acting helps. I don't feel much immersion playing old games.

I don't disagree. Some games just havent aged well like StarFox, Mario Kart and F-Zero...

But there are a few diamonds in the rough that have aged better than others... Like Super Metroid, Secret of Mana, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Their graphics might not be cutting edge, but the 2D art styles have aged well. They are timeless classics. Every gamer should give them a play through.

Super Metroid is one of the best games of all time in my opinion. It has almost no dialog, no story elements... It's graphics are average it's A.I is predictable... Yet it is simply amazing.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just feel like we have so many awesome games nowadays that going back makes little sense no matter how well those games have aged. Then again, if you have more fun with those, I totally get it :)
