Lol, Horizon came out only few days before Zelda. Zelda BotW was first shown at E3 2014. and than at December 2014, Horizon Zero was first shown at E3 2015.

And you still look like an idiot, the only thing they showed of Zelda in 2014 was Link on a Horse in an open world, which BOTW stole from Skyrim, Witcher 3, and dozens of other games.

Seriously you Nintendo fans are too much, and all of you guys voting for Splatton ( a game that has an 81 metacritic) just shows how biased the Nintendo community really is. Splatoon is no where close to even being in the realm of the best new IP. It's a strictly good game nothing more, but since it's the only decent new IP Nintendo has let's all vote for it.lol

First, I see you are new at this forum, here we don't insult other people, especially when you do that because your points are weak. Second, we saw world and part of gameplay of Zelda BotW in December of 2014, while for Horizon Zero Dawn we saw at E3 2015. You wrote that we saw gameplay for Horizons Zero Dawn first, and fact is that isnt true. Third, I didnt talk about who stole what from what game, but my point was that you were wrong in part of your post and that I bold.

Now you are just flaming (another console warrior, lol), but one of main reasons why Splatoon has 81 metascore is because had very little content on launch, but Nintendo was continue releasing new free content after launch, so just few months after Splatoon launch it had twice more content than it had on launch, but that dont effect at end of how much good, fresh and fun game is, sales and popularity of game proves that. Like I wrote, for me Splatoon is easily best new IP this gen, something totally new, fresh, different and incredible fun. Horizon Zero Dawn is good game, but at end it's just another open world game not relly somoething or diffrent, even Zelda BotW is more different open world game.

Easy pick Horizon Zero Dawn.

Bloodborne is close though. For Honor gets an honourable mention

Titanfall for me. Best mp I've played this gen. Gotg?

Dying Light for me. Still the best game I've played this gen!

Ermm what?

I played Dying Light and I enjoyed it. But to put it as a best new IP? I'm surprised. Did you play it co-op?

I'm not trolling the game, I actually enjoyed Dead Island and Dying Light, but they aren't really high quality games

I was thinking For Honour too. Simple to learn yet difficult to master.

I am quite intrigued to see what they do with the next game. Dedicated servers are on my wish list!

I did actually play it co-op. Did most of the game in 3 player with my dad and brother, was great fun!

To be fair though it hasn't exactly got a whole lot of competition. Only other new IPs I've played from this gen are Knack, Sunset Overdrive, Battleborn & Horizon Zero Dawn. Watch Dogs, Destiny and Titanfall too but I wouldn't count them on account of their last gen versions.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

Splatoon for me. It just felt right, especially after seeing (and playing some) so many shooters that felt or looked too similar to each other. While I enjoyed a few like CoD 4, Black Ops, and Battlefield Bad Company 2, I mostly played the campaigns Since I felt intimidated by the multiplayer stories. Titanfall might look fun but I didn't care too much about it since it didn't look like it differentiated too much from others outside of the Titans, which looked cool. Same with Evolve, Battlefield, CoD, etc. Granted I'm not great with shooters so I guess the games out there didn't help me get invested.

With Splatoon, though, I felt welcomed. The design sparked positive vibes and the world was interesting. And the gameplay was and still is so addicting. The music is awesome to listen to, even songs from Callie and Marie. Some didn't like lack of voice chat, but I didn't care since I didn't play online with friends and I was able to communicate through the game pad, seeing how the territory was progressing with ink and where my teammates are. The campaign was fun and underrated. I felt like I could really play online in Splatoon because I didn't have to rely on killing in order to succeed. Covering territory with turf could be all I'll do and it'll be more than beneficial. I remember getting no kills but having my team won anyway because I helped cover turf. Plus the community, the updates, and the Splatfests kept me engaged overtime even if I was a little late to the Splatoon party. And to see where it's at now with Callie and Marie concerts, various merchandise, the success story it was, especially in Japan where home consoles are not where they used to be, and it's highly anticipated sequel showing even greater potential, I like where Splatoon is going.

Splatoon. Horizon Zero Dawn is just a copy of Breath of The Wild.

Jesus, this  forum just keeps getting better

Bloodborned, just cause it's the only game of that list that i've played and I truly do love the aesthetics of it
