Aye, Necrophobic aren't half bad. Can't say I've ever been a huge fan but they're pretty solid overall.

I agree although it's more hardrock than metal. They have some fantastic songs though like pour some sugar on me.

Their first album can be considered heavy metal, I'd say.
Can Queens of the Stone Age be considered metal?

Most people wouldn't consider them to be metal.

Let's agree to this disagree on that one, but the line between heavy metal and hardrock is pretty thin. There are some articles why Dev isn't really considered glam lr heavy metal. But they make awesome music nonetheless. Their guitarist also doesn't see Def as a metal band. But it's no shame to be a hardrock band. Many if my favourite bands are hardrock like ACDC, Guns n Roses, Scorpions and others.

Hey fellas, thanks for not condemning my Def Leppard post. That's pretty cool. I mostly expected people just to laugh and put the band in the trash bin of 80s glam pop, but I can tell you guys can at least appreciate the quality of the band for what it is.
One piece of music you should check out if you haven't yet is their second record High and Dry. Great tunes, particularly Switch 625, which I wish more radio stations would play as the proper tail to Bringin' on the Hearthbreak. It's like We Will Rock You and We are the Champions by Queen. RIP Steve Clark, that was his opus. The band's essence truly died with him...but I can't blame the band for continuing on after his death. They just never achieved the same level of songwriting after he was gone.

No problem! Don't worry, I'm not that kind of metalhead, I'm open to different tastes in music.
