Let's agree to this disagree on that one, but the line between heavy metal and hardrock is pretty thin. There are some articles why Dev isn't really considered glam lr heavy metal. But they make awesome music nonetheless. Their guitarist also doesn't see Def as a metal band. But it's no shame to be a hardrock band. Many if my favourite bands are hardrock like ACDC, Guns n Roses, Scorpions and others.
